While passing thru the Carnival route we spoke to one of the major members of pure lime who hinted at this being the final year of chocolate in London.
Could this be true and what would it be like without pure lime?

Carnival wil not be the same without Pure Lime, I don't think it will happen as Nigel has always been there with his potty and chocolate and rum mixture from the cocoyea days. Us oldies use to drink from it and get on real bad.
I really hope Pure Lime will always be around.

Did he indicate why this might be the last year?
Is it due to lack of support or does he believe that the chocolate mas idea has ran its course?
Personally I prefer genuine oil & mud mas like back home in T&T but we all know that ain't happening in London so easy as English folks who don't understand we Jouvay culture will be getting real vex when they nice clothes get permanently dutty from people touching or hugging them when d band pass thru!!
Pay de devil - jab jab, ah want ah penny jab jab, gimme some money jab jab or your clothes will dutty jab jab!! ;-)

So man just tired and want to take a rest after 10 years straight!
I could understand that. Leh someone else carry d torch for a while, everyone needs a rest at some stage!

Who exactly did you talk to? Does this person have a name?
First off this year was the 11th year of Pure Lime. And second we will be back out next year on Carnival Sunday for the 12th Year in succession. The first planning meeting for next year is a week on Sunday.
The web site is down for a make-over (www.purelime.co.uk) but will soon be back up. Once back I suggest you join the mailing list and receive official updates. Much better than hearsay.

boy i think chocolate mas is the best it remind me of jouvet back home an it is the best way to sart the carnival all they have to do now is get rid of them stupid fellas who dos want to come an mess the carnival with stupidness trowing bottle at de police de really dotish they go jus force dem people to close we ting donw
